50th Anniversary

Left to Right:  Harriet (Arnold) McNeil, the twins Ellene (West) Bruin and Merlene (West) Coulom, Joan (Smith) Bradley.  The McNeil's 50th wedding anniversary noted by the floral arrangement in the background.  The three girls are their granddaughters.  The twins are the daughters of Merton West and Ellen (McNeil) West.  Joan (Smith) Bradley is the only child of Arthur Smith and Lora (McNeil) Smith.

McNeil Farm

Section 8, Wall Township, Ford County, Illinois. 

On the 1884 plat of Wall Township this section is owned by C. Anderson, probably Christopher Anderson of Roberts.  The 1901 map shows Amos Arnold as the section owner.  There appears to be a small square between the H and the A in the word "Hattie" on Section 8 which would indicate a residence.  The home location does not appear on the 1981 Ford County, Illinois Rural Resident Directory.

Married March 18, 1885, (Possibly the 17th, I have some questions about this.) at the Methodist Episcopal Church in Roberts, Illinois.
